As the cool air turns cooler
and summer moments turn to memories
foliage is the next wonder
our eyes shall see
Beach trips illustrated
with bright vibrant green
and the bluest of blue
are now apple picking drives
The leaves we watched sprout
Die before us
Most elegant
littering the country side
Shall we be blessed
With another year,
this process shall repeat
with our having a front row seat
Until then we lay layer upon layer
and snuggle up to a loved one if so lucky,
if not we drink sweat nectar
fondly longing for our chance to do exactly that.
Life is wonder
and earth an amusement park
choose your rides and think less
and allow yourself to be dazzled!
